Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 April 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Recce Net mobile application (“the App”) and the Recce Net administrator console (“the Console”, together with the App, “the Service”) operated by LK1 Limited (“Recce Net”, “we”, “us”).

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Recce Net is a business-to-business product licensed to registered security companies (“Subscribers”). End users (“Officers”) access the Service in the course of their employment with a Subscriber. Where individual rights and Subscriber rights conflict, the contract between Recce Net and the Subscriber prevails for matters of service delivery, and these Terms prevail for matters of acceptable use.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.
  • You must be authorised by your employer (a Subscriber) to use the Service for legitimate operational reconnaissance, security planning and live-operations management.
  • You may not use the Service if you are subject to UK or equivalent sanctions, or have previously been removed by us for breach of these Terms.

2. Account responsibilities

  • Keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity carried out under your account.
  • Notify us and your employer immediately if you suspect unauthorised access by emailing security@recce-net.app.
  • Information you record (venue addresses, principals, vehicles, photographs, voice notes) must be accurate to the best of your knowledge at the time of recording.

3. Acceptable use

You will not:

  • Use the Service for surveillance, stalking, harassment, or any unlawful covert operation against private individuals.
  • Upload content that you do not have the right to record or share, including images of identifiable members of the public outside the lawful scope of a recce.
  • Bypass authentication, access controls, rate-limits, or attempt to enumerate other Subscribers' data.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to extract the source of the App or the Console, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
  • Resell, sublicense or redistribute the Service or any output of its AI features as a standalone product.
  • Use the Service to develop, train or evaluate a competing security-reconnaissance product.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or content that could damage the Service or its users.

We may suspend or terminate access (immediately and without notice in serious cases) for breach of this section.

4. AI features

Recce Net uses third-party large language models (currently OpenAI) to summarise reconnaissance data, score risk, generate shift handovers, produce client reports and transcribe voice notes. AI output is provided as guidance only and must be reviewed by a qualified human operator before any operational decision is taken. Recce Net is not liable for decisions made on the basis of AI output without such review.

We do not permit our AI providers to use your data to train their public foundation models. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

5. Subscriber data

All operational data created through the Service belongs to the Subscriber that licensed the deployment, not to the individual Officer. On termination of the Subscriber's contract, data is exported and deleted in line with the data-processing agreement signed at on-boarding. Officers do not have an independent right to retain operational records after leaving a Subscriber.

6. Account deletion

Officers may request that their personal account be closed and their personal data deleted at any time. See our dedicated Account Deletion page for the in-app and web-based deletion routes. Operational records linked to the Subscriber may be retained as required by law and the Subscriber's data-processing agreement.

7. Subscription and fees

Fees, billing terms and licence scope are set out in the written agreement between Recce Net and the Subscriber. The App is provided to Officers free of charge by their employer; individual Officers do not pay Recce Net directly.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability of the Service but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Supabase, Firebase, OpenAI, Google Maps, WeatherAPI, what3words) and force-majeure events may cause downtime. Incident notifications are pushed to the Console where appropriate.

9. Intellectual property

Recce Net, the Recce Net brand, the App, the Console, and all associated software, designs, AI prompts, report templates and documentation are the intellectual property of LK1 Limited or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trade-mark and other laws.

On payment of the applicable subscription fees, the Subscriber is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for the duration of the contract.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
  • AI-generated content will be accurate, complete or fit for a specific operational purpose.
  • Information returned by third-party data sources (maps, weather, what3words) will be free from error.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recce Net's aggregate liability arising under or in connection with these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, shall not exceed the total fees paid by the applicable Subscriber to Recce Net in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Recce Net, its officers, employees and agents from any claim, demand or damages arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

13. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Console, push-notification, or by email to Subscribers' nominated point of contact. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where required by law, following a serious breach of these Terms, on lapse of the Subscriber's licence, or where continued operation would put us, our users or the public at material risk. On termination, your obligations under sections 3, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 15 survive.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that we may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property.
